Montezuma senior Mia Boulton has been named to a pair of Iowa all-state basketball teams!
The two are the Iowa Print Sports Writer’s Association, where she is a member of the eight-player Class 1A second team and;
The Iowa Girls Coaches Association team, where she one of eight on the third team.
The IPSWA team is a newer all-state team in Iowa, having been formed because fewer Iowa newspapers are choosing all-state teams.
Boulton led the Bravettes with 377 points and a 15.08 scoring average in 25 games this season.
She was a .388 field goal shooter, which included .339 from three-point range on 64-for-189.
Mia dished 107 assists, and had just 40 turnovers, giving her a fine 2.68 assists-to-turnovers ratio.
Boulton had 87 rebounds and 55 assists.
And, she wouldn’t be the opposition’s first choice to foul, as she made 71-of-91 free throws, a .789 percentage.
