That belongs to me! A Bravette and a Bear dive on a loose ball in JV play. (Submitted).

BROOKLYN – Shutouts happen all the time in hockey, not too often in football, occasionally in baseball . . .but rarely in basketball.

The JV Bravettes were involved in one with BGM when they pitched a 41-0 shutout over the Bears on Friday evening, Dec. 9.

The Bears cast 24 shots at the basket, but didn’t connect.

Meanwhile, the Bravettes fired away 58 times in all. They had 17 makes for a modest .293 percentage.

Claire Erselius had 20 points and seven steals for Montezuma.

Ashlee Eilander scored 11 points and had five rebounds.

Jordan Ranfeld had nine rebounds for Montezuma, which led 37-26 in that department.

Alivia Cline dished five assists for the Bravettes, and Harlea Pargeon added five rebounds.
