SULLY – Montezuma’s boys and girls of summer ran into some adversity in Sully on Monday, June 7.
The Braves suffered their first loss of the season, 13-3.
Meanwhile, the Bravettes dropped a 10-0 contest to the second-rated team in Class 1A.
The defeat dropped Montezuma to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in South Iowa Cedar League play. Lynnville-Sully rose to 4-1 in the league, and to 5-3 overall.
In softball, the Bravettes are 2-10 overall and 0-5 in the league. Lynnville-Sully is 7-4 overall and 5-0 in the SICL.
