It was close but no cigar for the varsity volleyball Bravettes at home against North Mahaska on Monday evening, Sept. 11.
The Warhawks won the match 3-0. Scores were 25-22, 25-21 and 25-0.
Montezuma fell to 5-10 on the season with the defeat.
North Mahaska takes an 8-4 mark on to its next match.
Montezuma’s freshman team won 2-0 on scores of 21-11 and 21-12.
The Warhawks took the junior varsity match 2-1, on scores of 21-23, 21-19 and 15-13.
