With snow and sub-zero wind chills predicted, officials at both schools have canceled Friday’s scheduled boys basketball games between Gladbrook-Reinbeck and Montezuma.
The distance traveled by Gladbrook-Reinbeck (58 miles, from Reinbeck), was a factor in the decision.
The games were canceled, not postponed, which means they will not be rescheduled. Montezuma moves into post-season tournament play on Monday evening, Feb. 15.
