The case of missing Montezuma 11-year-old Xavior Harrelson continues to get attention.
Locally, orange ribbons – his favorite color – have been showing up in many locations.
And posters and banners bearing his image are in place in many diverse locations.
Montezuma ball fans have seen the ribbons in the hair of softball players at a number of games.
Baseball players have been displaying orange, too.
In Keota on Wednesday, a 50/50 charity raffle was held during the softball and baseball games, with at least 50 percent of the proceeds to go to the family and for costs involved with the search.
Wrote Kari Shaffer, a Montezuma softball mom:
“Sitting at the softball game in Keota, I see lots of orange ribbons – on belt loops, in hair ties, in back pockets, wrapped on wrists . . .our community thanks you for your support.”
