PCM comes to Montezuma tonight!

Montezuma’s basketball teams bounce outside the conference tonight (Thursday, Jan. 5) for game against a larger school, PCM.

GIRLS

The 8-1 Bravettes take on the 5-5 Mustangs in the 6 p.m. contest.

Addison Steenhoek, a 5-6 sophomore (uniform #14), leads PCM with a 10.6 scoring average. Two others are at 9 points per game.

Tori Lindsay (#15), a 5-6 freshman, gets 6.6 rebounds per game and averages 4.4 assissts.

The Mustangs are .318 field goal shooters and are outscoring opponents by an average of 43-42.

Despite not shooting particularly well and not featuring great height, the team does a decent job of running down rebounds.

BCMoore Rankings makes the Bravettes a 7-point favorite.

BOYS

The Braves, now 6-3, take on a 3-6 Mustangs team.

Jacob Wendt, 6-2, (#4), scores 14.6 per game and is a .505 field goal shooter. He also leads in rebounding at 9.9 per game.

Gavin Van Gorp (#1), a 6-1 sophomore, scores 13.3 per game, and Grant Van Veen, (#51), A 6-6 senior scores 10.3 per outing.

Wendt, Van Gorp and Van Veen combine to average 38 of PCM’s 50 points per game.

Kaleb DeVries (#15), A 5-6 sophomore, averages 4.8 assists.

The team is being outscored by nine points a game.

But remember, PCM is a bigger school. That CAN make things difficult.
