Retired teachers eat and assault pins

Star Lanes

Retired Montezuma Teachers and Staff and spouses met on Wednesday, May 31st at Star Lanes for bowling and lunch served by Montezuma High School students, Emily Jo James and Rylee Wolford.

Former MHS teacher/coach Digger Phelps finished second in the hotly contested bowling tournament. (No word yet about who won).

The school retirees would like to express thanks to MHS ’94 graduate, Donnie LaGrange, who treated them to a free lunch.  Nearly three decades ago, Donnie was a member of the FFA, the National Honor Society, Cross-Country team and a three-time state wrestling qualifier, finishing as the state runner-up at 119 lbs. his senior year.  Donnie went on to graduate from USA West Point in 1998.

We look forward to our next luncheon on Wednesday, June 28th at the Longhorn Saloon in Barnes City.
