NEW SHARON – Kennen Roadcap earned a fourth-place medal and Derek Fry won a match as the pair of Braves represented Montezuma at the 14-team North Mahaska Invitational meet on Saturday, Jan. 9.
Combined, the duo won two of their six matches.
Roadcap pinned his first round opponent, then lost on a fall to a very strong performer, Trace Goemaat of North Mahaska.
Aiden McFadden of Baxter scored a 6-3 decision over Roadcap in a hard-fought match for third place.
Fry got his win via fall over a wrestler from Des Moines Lincoln in the consolation bracket first round.
