NORTH ENGLISH – Montezuma sophomore Kennen Roadcap placed second at 285 pounds and advanced to the next round of action during the Class 1A sectional wrestling tournament on Saturday, Feb. 6.
Roadcap will now compete in the district meet at BGM, starting at noon on Saturday, Feb. 13.
In order to advance, a wrestler had to place first or second in his weight division.
The Braves who competed had pretty solid days, with all bringing home place finishes.
Marshall Rovedo was third at 120 pounds.
Martavious Knox was fourth at 220.
And Braxton Simpson placed sixth at 145.
Should Roadcap place first or second at the district meet, he would advance on to the state finals in Des Moines.
