Runners post great times at SICL

By Kevin Gartman

SEARSBORO – We had lots to be proud of at the SICL Meet with 5 H high school runners with career-best times, 5 more with season-best times, and most runners who didn’t fit those benchmarks had second-best times on the season.

The conference meet was run on our course at Big Springs Shooting Complex.

On the middle school side, 5 of our 7 runners crushed their 1.6-mile times from five days prior.

Moving forward, high school state qualifying sites have been posted. We’ll get ready to ramp up toward next Thursday’s meet.

Junior high runners that have chosen to run on Saturday will finish out a couple more practices to prepare for that race.
