Runners test their speed in Iowa City

IOWA CITY – A flat course was good for the speed runners on Monday, Sept. 25, and the Clear Creek-Amana Invitational cross country meet, held at Kickers Sports Complex.

Montezuma junior high runner Lauryn Larmore highlighted the day for the Bravettes, placing fourth in a strong field of 58.

Ellen Cook led the varsity Bravettes with her 20th-place finish, and Vivian Cook was in at 34th.

For the boys, Carter McKee led with a 34rd-place finish, in 20:26.

Dayton Reif was placed 14th and Cade Lowry was 16th as the junior high boys placed fourth out of six scoring teams.
