School closure message from Supt. Hoeger

April 17, 2017

Dear Parents,

Governor Reynolds told the residents in the state of Iowa today that schools will not open this spring.

I learned when you did that school was canceled for the rest of the year so I do not know any more information than you do.

We do not know if the Iowa Department of Education will issue more guidance next week or not. There are a number of things to discuss now that we know school will not resume.

I will meet with the Montezuma School Administrators and we will send a letter with more information next week.

The elementary teachers will be handing out learning packets next Friday, April 24th, from 10:30-12:30 as they did last week.

We want to make sure all students in our school system are able to access the curriculum being presented, so if this is an issue for you, please contact Mr. Hanna or Mr. Hoffman.

Thanks,

Dave Hoeger,
Montezuma Schools Superintendent
