The third-rated Montezuma Bravettes again showed balance overall play in a 64-28 run past Sigourney on Thursday, Dec. 19, in the final pre-Christmas game of the season.
The Braves led 18-2 after one quarter, 38-11 at halftime and 54-16 through three as a continuous clock went into effect.
Three Braves scored in double figures and two just missed. Trey Shearer led with 16, Eddie Burgess put in 15 and Cole Watts knocked in 12.
Brayden Arendt and Masin Shearer came close, with nine and seven, respectively.
The defeat dropped Sigourney to 4-3. The Savages had gotten away to a 4-0 start on their season.
Montezuma is 6-0.
