Montezuma was strong and steady in the first half, then unstoppable in the third quarter of a 77-43 run past English Valleys Monday night, Jan. 20, at home.
The win lifted the Braves to 9-1 on the season.
Montezuma led 22-11 after one quarter, 43-23 at halftime, then hit the Bears right between the eyes with a 25-3 third period.
Cole Watts scored 24 points, grabbed nine rebounds and dished four assists for the Braves.
Eddie Burgess had 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Trey Shearer scored 20 points and dished six assists.
English Valleys fell to 4-8.
