MONTEZUMA – It’s on to the regional volleyball semifinals for the Montezuma Bravettes after they defeated Lynnville-Sully 3-0 Monday evening, Oct. 28, at home.
Scores were 25-20, 25-12 and 25-19.
The Bravettes next take on North Tama, the #5 rated team in Class 1A, at 7 Thursday night, Oct. 31, in Traer.
The win for Montezuma was its 20th of the season, against 16 losses.
Lynnville-Sully carried an 18-7 record into this match and had won 9 of its previous 12 matches. But two of those losses were to SICL champion Belle Plaine and the other was to Montezuma, by a 3-1 score, on Oct. 1.
The Bravettes played North Tama back on Sept. 7 in the North Tama tourney. The Redhawks were 2-0 winners in that contest.
