Younger and shorter isn’t the combination that will get a team a victory against top-rated Montezuma. So, HLV – and the Bravettes – had to use their game against each other as more of a learning lab.
The Bravettes were 71-13 winners, turning many of the Warriors’ 36 turnovers into easy baskets. The quarter leads were 18-4, 39-10 and 60-12.
Shateah Wetering scored 22 points, had nine rebounds, eight steals and five assists.
Elise Boulton scored 14 and was four-for-10 on three-point attempts.
Dylan Holland scored 11, and was five-for-five from the field.
Other highlights: Shanae Wetering with eight points and three steals; Maddy McKeag with six points and four steals, and Carissa Van Zee with four steals and two deflections.
The Bravettes are 5-0 while HLV is at 0-5.
Montezuma’s JVs won, 29-11.
UP NEXT – Montezuma is at BGM on Friday evening, Dec. 13.
