Montezuma scored a 15-9 victory in a fifth set tiebreaker, defeating North Mahaska 3-2 in a tight varsity volleyball match at home on Thursday, Sept. 24.
The win kept the 6-4 Bravettes unbeaten in South Iowa Cedar league play.
Scores for the Bravettes were 26-24, 23-25, 25-17, 22-25, and the fateful 15-9.
North Mahaska fell to 6-7 on the season.
