The Montezuma Bravettes were open for business from the start, jumping out to a big early lead in a 61-23 run past English Valleys Monday evening, Jan. 20.
The Bravettes led 27-4 after one quarter. It was 46-14 at the half and 59-21 through three.
The much-improved Bears brought an 8-4 record into the game and a guard-oriented offense.
But the Bravettes kept them near 25 percent in field goal shooting, while firing at a .467 clip themselves.
Shateah Wetering scored 17 points, Elise Boulton had 15 and Maddy McKeag delivered 11 for the now 12-0 Montezuma team.
UP NEXT – The Bravettes are at Keota Tuesday, Jan. 21.
