COLFAX – Setting the tone with a 21-1 first quarter, the Montezuma Bravettes pushed their record to 4-0 Friday night, Dec. 6, with a 56-25 win over Colfax-Mingo.
Montezuma, the state’s top-rated Class 1A team again this week, led 41-10 at halftime and 53-14 through three quarters. A total of 14 Bravettes saw action.
Shateah Wetering scored 19 points, including a trio of three-pointers, had seven assists, six rebounds and a blocked shot.
Dylan Holland scored 10 points and pulled down four rebounds.
Maddy McKeag scored eight points against the Tigerhawks, who are 0-3 and were able to shoot the ball just 30 times, compared to 49 attempts by Montezuma.
