BROOKLYN – Montzuma’s varsity girls won the team championship at the BGM Cross Country Invitational Monday evening, Sept. 21, at the Brooklyn-Victor Country Club golf course.
“We had huge individual performances on a tough course tonight!” said Montezuma Coach Kevin Gartman.
The Montezuma program had one individual winner – Ellen Cook, in the eighth grade race.
Sisters Elise Boulton and Mia Boulton finished second and third, respectively, in the varsity girls race. Other medaling were: 7 – MJ Johannes, 10 – Beka Teumer, 12 – Kenna Johannes, 17 – Lydia Singleton and 19 – Alivia Cline.
Ashlee Eilander placed sixth in the JV girls race.
Montezuma’s varsity boys had four medalists: 7 – Brydon Henning, 9 – Gavin Strong, 13 – Cam Johnson and 17 – Jack Erselius.
