SCORES: Girls win fifth straight at C-M

COLFAX – The Bravettes won decisively Monday night in a volleyball venue that hasn’t always produced favorable memories for them.

Montezuma swept Colfax-Mingo 3-0, on scores of 25-21, 25-14 and 25-21.

The victory was the fifth straight match victory for the Bravettes, who now are the only remaining unbeaten team in South Iowa Cedar League play.

Overall, the Bravettes stand at 7-4.

The Tigerhawks are 6-8, and 3-1 in league matches.

The schools split in underclass play. Montezuma was a 2-0 winner in the frosh-soph match, while Colfax-Mingo prevailed 2-1 in JV action.
