TREY SHEARER SCORES 1,000th CAREER POINT!

The Montezuma Braves started fast and kept going in a 78-42 run past HLV at home Tuesday evening, Dec. 10.

The unbeaten Braves, who shot .588 from the field, had quarter leads of 24-7, 50-14 and 73-27.

Trey Shearer poured in 27 points on 10-for-17 shooting from the field. He had six assists and five steals.

What’s more, Shearer, who is a junior, scored his 1,000th (and counting) career point.

Cole Watts scored 20 on right-for-nine shooting. He also had six assists and came up with three steals.

Masin Shearer dropped in 14 points, went five-for-eight from the field (including 4-for-7 from three-point range). He dished three assists and two steals.

Edidie Burgess scored nine points and grabbed seven rebounds for Montezuma.

The Braves shot .417 from behind the arc, and were nine-for-nine from the free throw line.

Montezuma is 4-0, while HLV is 0-4.

JVs COME BACK – Montezuma’s junior varsity boys completed an almost game-long comeback and beat HLV 39-33. The Braves trailed 19-2 at one point during the first half.
