SULLY – Brady Boulton scored all nine of Montezuma’s points in overtime as the Braves beat Lynnville-Sully 34-30 in junior high ‘A’ basketball on Monday evening, Dec. 14.
Seven of Boulton’s overtime points came from the free throw line.
In all, six underclass teams from Lynnville-Sully and Montezuma played each other across the two campuses. Lynnville-Sully won four of the six.
Tonight, Tuesday, Dec. 15, the two varsity teams play each other in Sully.
Montezuma’s ‘A’ boys trailed 16-9 at halftime, but applied full court pressure in the second half and gradually caught up.
Montezuma’s other win came in the junior high eighth grade girls game. The Bravettes prevailed 41-7 after leading 29-1 at halftime.
