The BGM Bears brought a nice 13-4 record into their Tuesday, Feb. 4 game at Montezuma. That got Montezuma’s attention. So did a modest 30-18 Braves halftime lead.
But it was bombs way for the Braves during a 36-point third quarter.
Cole Watts and Trey Shearer combined for 60 points on the night as Montezuma beat BGM, 79-44.
Watts scored 33 points and Shearer dropped in 27.
Watts was 12-for-21 from the field, including six-for-nine from behind the arc. And, he pulled down 15 rebounds.
Shearer was 10-for-17 shooting, including three-for-four on three-pointers.
Masin Shearer added 10 points for Montezuma, which took its record to 15-2 on the season.
