Montezuma closed out the conference individual match portion of the volleyball regular season with a home win over Sigourney Monday evening, Oct. 7.
Seniors Waverly Roorda, Shelby Conger and Maddy McKeag were honored for their years with the program.
The win lifted the Bravettes to 12-13 on the season. Sigourney fell to 4-15.
Montezuma’s JV team also won, but Sigourney prevailed in three games in the frosh-soph match.
UP NEXT – The Bravettes are in the Martensdale-St. Mary’s tuorney, which starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
On Monday, Oct. 14, the Bravettes will be involved in pool play at the SICL tourney in Belle Plaine. They are scheduled to meet English Valleys at 5 p.m., with Belle Plaine to meet the winner. The tourney will continue next Thursday.
ALSO – Montezuma won the west division of the SICL JV tournament last week, beating HLV in the championship match.
