This year’s Dennis Simpson Golf Classic was another successful fund raiser for the Montezuma football program.
“We had a good turnout,” said football head Coach John Beck. “There were 10 teams that participated and we had a variety of sponsors.”
Those included clubhouse sponsors, tee box and greens sponsors. When the golfers achieved, they received!
“Our community does a great job supporting this program and we really do appreciate it,” Beck said. “The funds help with year-to-year purchases of helmets, pads and other gear the team needs.”
“We also are trying to save up for a lineman chute,” Beck said.
The event, held at Montezuma Country Club in June, is named after the late Dennis Simpson, a long-time booster of Montezuma athletics.
