Montezuma’s second varsity volleyball match of the season was a tough one, against a larger school.
South Tama beat the Bravettes 3-0 on Tuesday evening, Sept. 8, in Montezuma.
Scores were 25-18, 25-20 and 25-19.
The defeat evened the Bravettes at 1-1 on the season.
Meanwhile, it was the 12th match already for South Tama, which left with a 5-7 record.
Ash Krousie had another all-around match for the Bravettes. She led in digs with 13, had five kills, two assists and was 8-for-9 serving with two aces.
Katie Reynolds had 16 assists for Montezuma, two blocks, nine digs and was 7-for-7 serving.
Allyson Larmore helped the defense with seven digs and went two-for-two serving.
