Spotlight on a Braves wrestler

By Al Rabenold

This week’s spotlight is on Montezuma Braves wrestler Keatyn Stokoe. He is the 16 year-old son of Paul Fry and Nicole Jackson.

In his first year of wrestling Keatyn has enjoyed learning about the sport while pushing himself and his teammates to get better each day in practice.

When not competing at the 285 lb. weight class for Coach Kriegel’s mat team this winter, Keatyn can be found playing video games, weight training, conditioning, and being around his teammates.

This fall football coach Pat O’Brien looks forward to having Keatyn anchor the Braves defensive line.

Keatyn’s favorite academic class at MHS is biology.

After high school Keatyn plans to attend college and eventually become an electrician.
