Spotlight on a Braves Wrestler

By Al Rabenold

Kennen Roadcap, is a 16 year-old sophomore, wrestling for the Braves at the 285 lb. wt. class.

He is the son of John and Jeni Roadcap.

Kennen is one of the more experienced Braves wrestlers, having begun his wrestling career as a 7th grader.  He met his goal of being a district qualifier this season!

Kennen sets a fine example for the Braves while pushing himself and his teammates toward their goals.  Although many would classify wrestling as an individual sport, Kennen does enjoy the team aspect of it as well.

Kennen also competes in football, track and trap shooting.

His favorite class at MHS is Psychology.  A standout offensive center on Coach O’Brien’s football state play-off team, Kennen plans to play football at the collegiate level while earning a degree.
