Spring athletes are still busy!

Graduation has come and the seniors have left the building. But even with summer sports looming, it’s still a busy sports week in Montezuma.

Monday, May 15 – The boys golf team qualified for state for the first time in school history by placing third at the Class 1A District Meet in Anita.

Thursday, May 18 – Ellen Cook will compete in the 3,000-meter run at 9:40 a.m. at the state meet in Des Moines. Chloe Snook will run the 200 at 10:30 a.m., then begin long jumping at 11:30 a.m.

Friday, May 19 – Garrett Watts will run the 110 hurdles at 10:40 a.m.

Next week – The boys golf team competes in the state meet in Ames on Monday and Tuesday, May 22-23.
