The Iowa boys and girls’ unions on Friday, April 10, came up with new start dates for boys and girls spring and summer sports.
That means those schedules we posted last week are null and void. So, tear them up or delete them! We’ll post new ones – when we find out if school is to be resumed May 1.
If school resumes May 1, here are the dates impacting Montezuma:
Boys and Girls Track and Field
First practice – May 1.
First meet – May 4.
State qualifier – May 28.
State meet – June 4-6.
Girls Golf
First practice – May 1.
First meet – May 4.
State qualifiers – May 26, June 1.
State meet – June 1-2, 13.
Boys Golf
First practice – May 1.
First meet – May 4.
State qualifiers – May 29, June 5.
State meet – June 11-12.
Softball
First practice – May 18.
First game – June 1.
State qualifiers – July 6-14.
State meet – July 20-24.
Baseball
First practice – May 18.
First game – June 1.
State qualifiers – July 9-22.
State meet – July 24-Aug.1.
