Three Montezuma seniors have been named to the Class 8 academic all-state team chosen by the Iowa Football Coaches Association.
The three are Brian Diaz, Trey Shearer and Cole Watts.
Qualification included having a grade point average of at least 3.7 through their junior season, being a multi-sport athlete and a starter in football, and they had to be nominated by their head coach.
