Three Montezuma baseball players were honored by being chosen to one of the SICL all-conference teams.
The three are senior Garrett Watts, senior Jack Erselius and sophomore Luke Erselius.
Garrett Watts, senior
second team outfielder
Watts had 20 hits and a .308 batting average. His four doubles led the Braves. He hit one home run and drove in 8 runs, with a slugging percentage of .415. Garrett also was 16-for-19 in stolen bases, ranking second on the team.
Watts also pitched and had a 2-7 won-loss record, with one save. He pitched 34.1 innings, allowed 62 hits and 71 runs, 43 of them earned. He had an 8.77 earned run average.
Garrett walked 26 batters, hit 8, and struck out 39.
Luke Erselius, sophomore
Honorable mention
Erselius had 14 hits and a .304 batting average. He drove in 12 runs.
Erselius shared most of the pitching duties with Watts. Luke had a 2-5 record and started 7 games. He pitched 36.0 innings, gave up 32 hits and 44 runs, with 23 earned for an ERA of 4.47.
He walked 19, hit 8, and led the Braves with 53 strikeouts.

Honorable mention
Jack had 16 hits and a .327 batting average, tops on the team. He drove in 4 runs. He was 16-for-16 on stolen bases and attempts, second on the Braves’ squad.
