Three Montezuma football players – Eddie Burgess, Trey Shearer and Cole Watts – have been named to the Class 8 all-state first team announced by The Des Moines Register.
Burgess is the quarterback, Shearer a wide receiver, and Watts made it as a defensive back.
None of the three were named to the paper’s All-Elite Team, which includes players from all classes.
