Montezuma’s boys and girls varsity track teams will try to make it to the State Track Meet during the qualifying meet on Thursday, May 15, at Lynnville-Sully.
The action starts at 4 p.m. and you’ll need to buy your tickets online.
In order to make it to state, individual athletes or relay teams will have to:
- Win their event on Thursday or;
- Place in their event (top 8) and be among the top 10 non-winning times or distances posted in the 10 qualifying meets around the state.
Here are the list of teams at the Lynnville-Sully state qualifier:
Baxter, BCLUW, BGM, Colfax-Mingo, Collins-Maxwell, GMG, Iowa Valley, Lynnville-Sully, Melcher-Dallas, Meskwaki Settlement, Montezuma, North Mahaska, North Tama and Twin Cedars.
