Truman State University sophomore from Montezuma Trey Shearer has been honored by his school.
Shearer, a basketball player, has been named Truman State Basketball’s recipient of the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship Award.
The Great Lakes Valley Conference, of which Truman State is a member, allows each member school choose one basketball player for the honor.
