Bravettes Shanae Wetering and Mia Boulton have been chosen to the nine-member Class 1A all-southeast district team by the Iowa Girls Coaches Association.
Wetering, a senior, averaged 14.8 points for Montezuma, on .427 field goal shooting overall, which included .328 from three-point range.
She also grabbed 6.3 rebounds and dished 2.1 assists per game.
Wetering is headed to Clarke University in Dubuque and will play basketball there.
Boulton, a junior, made the most three-pointers of any player in Iowa during the regular season. She cast in 78 of them, the best by 7 in Class 1A, and by 6 in all classes.
Boulton averqged 12.7 points on .414 field goal shooting, which included .402 markamanship from behind the line. She shot .719 from the free throw line.
Boulton also averaged 3.0 assists.
Other players named were Mia Ayers of English Valleys, Breckyn Schilling and Layla Hargis of North Mahaska, Carly Goodwin of Sigourney and Bradie Buffington, Jobey Malone and Keetyn Townsley of Winfield-Mt. Union.
Mitch Wachs of Winfield-Mt. Union was the district coach of the year.
