MONTEZUMA – Montezuma jumped to a 60-0 halftime lead and rolled to an 82-8 victory in Class 8 football over one-win Twin Cedars Friday night, Oct. 10, at Badger-Gabriel Field.
Braves quarterback Brady Boulton threw a long touchdown pass to fullback Dane Strong to open scoring and Montezuma never looked back.
Broox Stockman ran 6 times for 152 yards and two touchdowns and caught a 33-yard scoring pass. Stockman, a linebacker, had 11 tackles in the game, including a sack and another tackle for loss.
Freshmam Aidan Chidester caught one pass and hauled it 52-yards for a score.
Twin Cedars showed a respectable passing attack and worked it for 8 points in the fourth quarter.
The Braves are 5-2 overall and close regular season play at Baxter next Friday.
Twin Cedars is 1-6.
