ALBIA ā The Bravettes varsity volleyball team kept getting closer and finally, in their fourth match, the girls broke through for their first win of the young season.
The action came at the Albia Invitational, on Saturday, Aug. 26.
The Bravettes lost 0-2 to Moravia, 0-2 to Albia, and 1-2 to Pleasantville.
Then came the win, 2-0 over Southeast Warren.
The Bravettes stand at 1-3 on the season, and will have two chances to make up that ground the first two days of this week.
They host South Tama on Monday, Aug. 28, then go to Williamsburg on Tuesday for a tournament involving Gladbrook-Reinbeck, HLV and the host team.
