NEW SHARON – Regan Grewe and her North Mahaska teammates pounded on the Bravettes on Friday evening, June 16, scoring a 7-1 victory.
Grewe hit a double and a home run, driving in three runs. She also pitched all seven innings, scattering Montezuma hits in addition to walking just one and striking out one.
The Warhawks scored three runs in the fourth inning, to open a 5-0 lead.
Chloe Snook had two hits for Montezuma, including a triple.
Kamryn Schmidt had one hit, a sixth inning single that drove in Montezuma’s only run.
Getting one hit each for the Bravettes were Ellen Cook, Jadyn Sharer, Izzy Roorda and Jordan Ranfeld.
Kallie Robison pitched all six innings for the Bravettes. Of the seven runs she yielded, just four were earned. She walked two and struck out six.
The Bravettes dropped to 7-9 on the season.
North Mahaska climbed to 8-9.
