DES MOINES – The Montezuma basketball girls – and the South Iowa Cedar League – have earned some statewide respect.
The Bravettes are the pre-season top-rated team in Class 1A, according to the poll released Nov. 22 by the Iowa High School Girls Athletic Union.
In fact, four of the top 10 teams are SICL members.
Sigourney is rated third, North Mahaska is fourth and Lynnville-Sully is tenth.
Being ranked number one in a poll doesn’t earn you a victory, but it has a tendency to make you work even harder to live up to it! Go Bravettes!
