PLEASANTVILLE – Monday, May 6 was a beautiful night on a great track, which allowed the Bravettes to put up some season-best performances.

The sprint medley started the night off with almost a 2-second season best and a solid mark to take into districts. It was great to see all of these kids compete.

Mya Smothers threw a 10-foot personal record in the discus and was able to come away with a 6th-place finish!

Lily Ferry, left, gets away to a quick start in a sprint.

Chloe Snook ran another strong 100m to walk away with almost a PR and a 2nd place finish.

Makenna Johannes ran hard in the distance medley after a solid and personal best 400 leg from Kam Schmidt.

Ellen Cook also ran a season-best in the 800 and competed in a strong field.

Syd Burgess ran a strong lifetime best in the 200 and finished 4th!

The 4×100 crew was also cooking and ran a season-best time. All four of those members are working very hard and it is great to see them together.

Overall, it was a wonderful night for the Bravettes.

We have some decisions to make going into districts, but overall we are so proud of our kids. They performed tonight and that is a result of hard work. We know that this group has more left in the tank and we need to put a few more things together at the state qualifier meet.
