A 70TH YEAR REUNION was held Saturday, August 21 by these members of the Montezuma High School graduating class of 1951. Pictured and their cities of residence are, from left, in front: Mary Lou (Fisk) Mann, Montezuma; Joetta (Watts) Bates, Montezuma; Dorothy (Anderson) Gott, New Sharon; in back, Clyde Meyer, Monticello; Patsy (Culmer) Grubb, Montezuma; Dorothy (Griffin) Stemsrud, Grinnell; and Darlene (Johnston) Baltisberger, Grinnell. The reunion was held at the West Side Diner in Grinnell, with several friends of the class joining them. Class member Clyde Meyer provided entertainment, playing the guitar and, accompanied by his wife, singing many group favorites. There were 44 in the class in 1951; 30 are now deceased.
