Girls get a win and will host on Thursday

VICTOR – The Bravettes had just a 6-15 record coming in, but they came out spitting nails as the SICL volleyball tournament opened for them on Monday night at HLV.

The their first match, Montezuma took a 3-0 win over Iowa Valley.

Score were 25-20, 27-25 and 25-17.

That sent Montezuma into a match against HLV. The Warriors won it, 3-0, but the Bravettes played tough.

Scores were 28-30, 24-26 and 19-25.

The second of this two-part tournament takes place on Thursday, Oct. 12 and the Bravettes will play at home, starting at 5 p.m.

In match one, Montezuma plays Tri-County.

In match two, it will be Keota vs. English Valleys.

Match three will be between the winners of the first two matches.

The Bravettes will take a 7-16 record into their match against Tri-County.
