JV girls get to play and win!

What with all the weathered out games, Montezuma’s junior varsity basketball girls haven’t had many chances to play.

But, they got one on Tuesday, Jan. 30, for one half against HLV.

The Bravettes won, 14-4.

Vivian Cook scored 8 points and was 2-for-2 on three-pointers. Lindsey Henry scored 5 and was 1-for-3 on treys.

Sydnee Burgess scored one pooint.

Montezuma led 15-11 in rebounds. Mya Smothers led with 4, followed by Henry wity 3, Rylee Wolford and Burgess with two each, and A.J. Kercheval with one.

Henry led the team in steals with four.

Montezuma forced 9 HLV turnovers, and .154 shooting by the Warriors.
