LACONA – Southeast Warren scored in the final four minutes to quell a Montezuma comeback in a 30-22 junior varsity football win over the Braves on Monday, Aug. 30.
The Braves tailed 22-8 at halftime, but scored to make it 22-14 with 6:46 left in the third quarter. The Braves scored again – and added the two-point conversion – to tie the game at 22-22 with 4:24 left to play.
Southeast Warren then went on its decisive scoring drive.
It was the Braves’ first JV game of the season.
