Max is medalist with 34 at Sigourney

SIGOURNEY – Golfers who have played the layout at Sigourney Country Club will tell you that to shoot 34 over nine holes, you have to be shooting pretty well.

Montezuma High School golfer Max Anderson shot that score on Monday, April 15, and it earned him medalist honors in a meet against Keota, Sigourney, and North Mahaska.

Keota won the met with a 161, followed by Sigourney at 164, Montezuma at 174, and North Mahaska at 191.

Behind Anderson’s 34 for the Braves came: 2, Cruz De Jong, 11, Jack Erselius 45, 16, Carson Van Der Hart, 56 and 17, Dane Strong, 57.
