The Montezuma Braves football team just doesn’t stop!
Locked in a 26-26 sprint race with Winfield-Mt. Union with 4:31 left until halftime, the Braves simply floored it, outscoring the Wolves 50-22 over the final 28:29. Result: A 76-48 win in their district opener and a 3-0 record for the state’s seventh-ranked Class 8 team.
The contest was played in front of a Hall of Fame night crowd on Friday, Sept. 13, at Badger-Gabriel Field.
