DES MOINES – Montezuma 190-pound wrestler Ryah Thompson earned a trip to the medals stand, but the season ended for her and the other Montezuma members of the BGM team on Friday, Jan. 26.
The site was the Region 4 state meet qualifier.
Thompson was the sixth-place finisher. However, girls had to place first through fourth in order to advance to the state meet.
The state meet will be Feb. 2-3 in Coralville.
